Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (a pinch)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Pan: Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it to ensure easy removal of the fudge once it is set, preventing sticking.
  2. Melt Chocolate and Butter: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and butter. Stir continuously until fully melted and smooth, taking care not to burn the chocolate.
  3. Add Sweetened Condensed Milk and Vanilla: Remove the pan from heat and quickly stir in the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until everything is well combined and glossy.
  4. Pour and Swirl Marshmallows: Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan. Immediately sprinkle the mini marshmallows evenly over the top, then use a toothpick or skewer to gently swirl them into the fudge, creating beautiful patterns.
  5. Chill and Set: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours or until firm. Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut into bite-sized squares.

Notes

  • Use quality chocolate: Higher quality chocolate improves flavor and texture dramatically.
  • Don’t overheat: Melt chocolate gently on low heat to avoid graininess or burning.
  • Swirl immediately: Add marshmallows and swirl while the fudge mixture is still warm for best blending.
  • Cut cleanly: Warm your knife in hot water and wipe dry for neat fudge squares.
  • Serve chilled: Fudge tastes best cold, so keep chilled until serving to maintain texture.
