Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Mixture – Combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs (or almond flour if gluten-free), egg, garlic powder, onion powder, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Use your hands to gently mix everything until well incorporated, being careful not to overwork the meat to keep the texture tender.
  2. Step 2: Shape the Patties – Divide the mixture evenly into 4 to 6 portions depending on your preferred size. Shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick, pressing a slight indent into the center to prevent puffing during cooking.
  3. Step 3: Preheat and Cook – Heat olive oil over medium heat in a skillet or grill pan. Cook the patties for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  4. Step 4: Rest Before Serving – Transfer the cooked burgers to a plate and let them rest for a couple of minutes to retain juices and improve tenderness.
